Equality, Diversity & Inclusion
Our commitment to you
At Signpost, we strive to ensure that there will be no
discrimination or unfair treatment on the grounds of; gender,
background, race, ethnic or national origin, faith, sexual
orientation, marital/civil partnership status, age, disability,
social position, political perspective, trade union membership or
social disadvantage.
We aim to ensure everyone is treated equally and has equal
opportunity receive the services we deliver, participate in
involvement activities and and take up employment opportunities we
offer.
We achieve this by:
- Breaking down the barriers, being flexible in our approach
because we know all our resident's needs are different
- Developing a positive culture which is embedded in everything
we do
- Having Policies and Procedures which we have developed with
residents to ensure fair treatment and consistency in decision
making
- By treating your communication and information
confidentially and ensuring we do not pass it on to other
people
- Providing you with feedback when you get involved and keeping
you informed in a variety of ways.
Involving you
We have set up several groups of residents who we speak to on a
regular basis about specific issues. These groups include one for
disabled residents and their carers, people from Black and Minority
Ethnic (BME) backgrounds and young people.
If you would like to find out more about taking part in one of
these groups, please call Kate Weeks, Community & Resident
Involvement Officer on 01392 361122.
